This one-on-one or group training helps you get the exact knowledge you need at the pace you need to get your project completed. Attendees of this two-day bootcamp gain an introduction to the Arduino open-source electronics prototyping platform. Discover how it could be applied to art or science projects. Learn to combine basic components and write software to interact with the environment. Participate in instructor led projects and have the option to explore your own ideas.

Cash, check, or purchase order. Please bring the payment option of your choice in advance or to the first class. If your accounting department requires a detailed invoice we will be happy to prepare and email one to you.
No, when you sign up for a digital Makeshop your fee includes the use our Mac laptops fully loaded with all the software we teach, unless class size is over 6 people. However, you are welcome to bring your own Mac or Windows laptop. If you decide to bring your own laptop, you will need to have the correct software and version installed before you come to class. If you need outside assistance with this, please let us know. There are either free or trial versions of every piece of software that we use in class. You are also welcome to bring your own USB mouse. A mouse is very personal peripheral!
When attending Digital Makeshops it is helpful but not required to bring a USB Jump drive or other storage device such as a CD-R or CD-RW for saving your digital creation. If you need some advice or help with storage options just let us know when you register.
All Makeshops are held at New Design School unless otherwise specified. New Design School is located at 217 E. Dickson St. Suite 102, Office 101 in Fayetteville, Arkansas. Here is a map.
Makeshops will be cancelled and rescheduled in the event of hazardous weather. Check the home page or call (479) 442-1443 for a message regarding weather-closings.
Full refunds for Makeshops are available up to 5 business days prior to the Makeshop. No refunds are made 5 business days prior to the Makeshop. If you register, do not attend, and do not notify us that you will be absent you will be responsible for full payment.
If it is an individual session it will be rescheduled. If it is a group class and one individual missed a class, that class cannot be made up for that individual.
Registration is available until Makeshop is full. To ensure your reservation, we strongly suggest registering as early as possible. Each class has limited space. Classes involving the computer are limited to 4 people.
