Great magazine to see graphic trends in the U.S. and abroad. They hold 6 juried competitions in visual communication and publish the winners.

An incredible resource only 20 minutes from New Design School of American art, including contemporary art by James Turrell, Way of Color. Excellent field trip.

These guys have an Apple Mac lab for teens and regularly offer software and design workshops for teens. They also have computer labs for adults where you can get internet access and learn basic computer skills.
